It's been a while since my last post, I apologize, it's just been a rough month for me. There has been
alot of tears and
alot of stuff to do. Anyone who knows me knows Christmas is MY FAVORITE time of the year but it is also a sad time of year for me. With my Dad in heaven this time of year is hard. He loved Christmas so much and loved watching the kids at Christmas. I know he is still watching them and all of us from Heaven but the part that makes me mad, is I cant see him. Also the passing of my dear
Pepere, it's been 5 years already. It's a strange feeling, it's been 5 years which sounds like a long time but at the same time, it feels like he has been gone forever. I miss him so much too. He loves Christmas as well. We have so many fond memories of Christmas long ago. I can still remember all the years we went to Cornwall for Christmas. I miss those days.
Memere has been coming to Ottawa for Christmas these past 5 years and I LOVE that. I could not imagine
Memere not being there at Christmas. I can't wait to see her on Christmas Day.
On Wednesday we had our little Christmas Party. I took 2 days off before Christmas and am feeling great about it. It's giving me the chance to get some wrapping done, some shopping done and baking done. Thank goodness, as there is just so much to do. I am not sure how to explain what I am feeling this Christmas, I feel extremely organized but at the same time I feel like I still have so much to do. I
dont know why because it's almost all done...it feels weird.
Back to our party. The kids were so very happy. We had a
pj day and it turns out that it was a snow day that day which turned out perfect because it gave us
alot more time to do stuff. With Mackenzie in school 1/2 days it's hard to cram everything in a 1/2 day. It was more relaxed and fun. The kids had presents. I love seeing the smiles and giggles from kids when they open gifts. They were so excited. I also love to watch the kids and see how they are excited when the other kids open gifts from them. They love they have for each other, even if it's only for a few minutes till they are back at the fighting again. The joys of being a child. Here are so pics for our party:
